Discussion: Has Anyone Tried Ordering from Multiple States at Once?

We often talk about which single state is "best," but what about ordering a "multi-state" pack? Some vendors offer a discount if you order IDs from two or three different states at the same time. This is a popular option for collectors and prop masters, but is it actually a good idea for the average buyer? I wanted to start a discussion about the pros and cons of the multi-state approach.

The biggest advantage is obviously the cost savings. You can often save 20-30% by bundling your orders. It also allows you to compare the quality of different templates from the same vendor side-by-side. This can be a great way to find out which state they "do" best before you commit to a larger bulk order.

What to Consider Before Going Multi-State

  • Consistency of Quality: Just because a vendor makes a great Oregon ID doesn’t mean their Florida template is just as good. Do your research on each state individually.
  • Data Requirements: Providing accurate data and photos for multiple different states at once can be a bit of a headache. Make sure you stay organized!
  • Shipping Risk: While the packaging is still discreet, a slightly larger package containing multiple IDs might technically carry a tiny bit more risk than a single envelope.

I recently ordered a "Pacific Northwest" pack (Oregon and Washington) and was very impressed with both. It was a great way to add to my collection without breaking the bank. What are your thoughts? Have you tried a multi-state order lately? Which "bundles" are currently offering the best value? Let’s hear your experiences.
