Novelty ID Card Canada Review: British Columbia (BC) "Ghost Image" Accuracy
I recently added a new British Columbia (BC) novelty ID to my collection, and I wanted to focus on one of its most critical security features: the integrated ghost image (the secondary, transparent photo). BC has a very complex ghost image design that is integrated with the mountain landscape background. This vendor did an incredible job of capturing this feature. Best quality I’ve seen!
The ghost image is perfectly transparent. It moves with the card’s surface and doesn’t look like a faded version of your main photo; it is integrated into the card’s material in a way that allows the background design to show through. This is a major indicator of a very high-end production process. Let’s talk about the details.
Why BC Ghost Image Accuracy is a Mark of Quality
- Lossless Transparency: The secondary photo should be crisp and detailed, even though it is transparent. Poor quality cards often have a "pixelated" or blurry ghost image.
- Perfect Alignment with Background: The ghost image must sit in the exact correct position relative to the mountain imagery. Any misalignment is a major "tell" for an amateur workshop.
- Tactile Integration: The area around the ghost image should be perfectly smooth, showing that it is part of the card stock and not an "add-on" layer.
I always recommend checking the ghost image features under a strong light. A high-quality BC card will look incredible, showing the complex interplay between light and transparency. What are your recent observations? Have you found any vendors who are particularly great at these advanced Ontario features? Let’s share our "ghost-watching" findings!
