Novelty ID Card Canada Review: Ontario (ON) LCBO Test Redux

Following up on my previous review, I wanted to share more results from my ongoing "LCBO Test" with my Ontario (ON) novelty ID. We know that Ontario has some of the most rigorous security standards in Canada, but how does this card handle a second and third trip through high-traffic urban venues? I visited several more LCBO locations across the province to see if the card could maintain its perfect record. I’m happy to report that the streak continues! Excellent service!

The card stock has maintained its rigidity perfectly. The Trillium shift remains bright and reactive, moving from pink to green flawlessly every time I tilt the card. This is a major sign of material quality and ink stability. Let’s talk about the technical side. How does it handle the repeat checks?

Why This Ontario ID continues to Perform

  • Accurate Design Accuracy: The layout, font, and colors are still an exact match for the official Ontario version, even after several months of use.
  • Solid Scannability: I tested the barcodes on the back and they passed with 100% accuracy every single time, returning all the correct ON data.
  • Durable Material: Even after being pulled in and out of my wallet hundreds of times, the card still looks brand new. No peeling or fading!

The customer service team was also very responsive, providing updates throughout the production process. The shipping was discreet and secure, arriving in perfect condition. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend this Ontario ID for local use!
