Novelty ID Card USA Review: Pennsylvania (PA) Tactile Features
I recently added a new Pennsylvania (PA) novelty ID to my collection, and I wanted to focus on one of its most impressive security features: the tactile raised text. Pennsylvania has a very traditional but highly detailed design, and the way the date of birth and signature are raised from the surface is a major indicator of quality. This vendor did an incredible job of capturing this feature. Best quality I’ve seen!
The raised text is very prominent and feels exactly like it should. You can clearly feel the texture with your fingertip, matching the official PA layout perfectly. This is a level of detail that many budget shops miss and is a major indicator of a very high-end production process. Let’s talk about the details.
Why Pennsylvania Tactile Accuracy is a Mark of High Quality
- Precision Heat Stamping: A pro-level workshop uses industrial equipment to ensure the tactile features are perfectly formed and consistent.
- Accurate Font Weight: The raised text should match the official font weights perfectly. If the text is "too thick" or "too thin," it’s a sign of a lower-quality workshop.
- Durable Fusion: The raised features should be perfectly fused with the card surface and should not peel or flake off over time.
I’ve been incredibly impressed with the craftsmanship of this Pennsylvania card. The tactile features are some of the most advanced I’ve seen in the US market.
