Discussion: More Questions on the Reorder Process and Returning Customer Benefits
Following up on our earlier discussion about reordering, I wanted to address some of the more specific questions about "returning customer benefits." We know that it’s easier to reorder when the vendor has your data, but are there actual financial incentives to sticking with the same shop? And how do you make sure you’re getting the best deal as a loyal customer?
Many of the top vendors in our community do have some form of loyalty program. This often takes the form of a unique discount code sent to you after your first successful order. Sometimes it’s a flat 10-15% off, and other times it’s a "buy one, get one at 50% off" deal for duplicates. It pays to check your email (and your spam folder) before you place a second order.
How to Maximize Your Value as a Returning Customer
- Ask for a "Loyalty" Discount: If you don’t have a code, try reaching out to customer support and asking if they have any specials for returning buyers. They want your business and will often help you out.
- Check the "What’s New" Section: Before you reorder exactly the same thing, see if the vendor has updated their templates or added new security features since your last purchase.
- Consolidate Your Orders: If you need multiple different states, try to order them all from the same vendor at once to take advantage of bulk shipping and multi-item discounts.
I’ve been using the same vendor for my last three orders and the "returning customer" discount has saved me a significant amount of money. Plus, the communication is always faster once they recognize you. What are your experiences? Have you found any vendors who are particularly generous with their repeat customers? Let’s share our "loyalty" hacks.
